a. Eastern Virginia Career College Expands to Richmond, Launching New Healthcare Campus to Address Critical Workforce Needs.

Eastern Virginia Career College (EVCC) is an accredited degree-granting college headquartered in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The college was founded more than a quarter-century ago. Eastern Virginia Career College, the region’s first college dedicated to adult career education, is proud to announce the grand opening of its newest campus at 4900 Cox Road, Innsbrook Corporate Center, Richmond. Located in the heart of the city’s Henrico County, the college is set to welcome its inaugural cohort of students in October 2025. This expansion marks a significant milestone in EVCC’s mission to provide specialized, fast-track healthcare training to the Central Virginia region.

The launch comes at a critical time for the Commonwealth. With Virginia facing a projected deficit of 17,000 nurses by 2026, the EVCC is designed to serve as a direct pipeline to high-demand roles, including Registered Nursing (RN), Practical Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Medical Assisting, Dental Assisting, and Wellness and Healthcare Administration.

“Our expansion into Richmond is a strategic response to the healthcare crisis hitting our local hospitals and clinics,” said Dr. Krishna Maddipatla, President of Eastern Virginia Career College. “We aren't just opening a school; we are building a state-of-the-art training hub where students can master clinical skills using the same AI-driven simulation technology they will find at the VCU Medical Center and other premier local facilities.”

Featured Programs at the Richmond Campus:
Nursing (AAS Degree): An accredited Associate of Applied Science program preparing students for RN licensure.
Practical Nurse (PN) Education: A diploma program focused on core clinical skills and patient care.
Allied Health: Medical Assistant (AAS & Diploma): Comprehensive training for both clinical and administrative healthcare roles. A Phlebotomy Technician (Certificate) is a critical healthcare professional trained to draw blood from patients. A Medical Administrative Assistant (MAA)—often called a Medical Office Secretary or Patient Coordinator—is the "front-office" backbone of any healthcare facility.
Occupational Therapy Assistant (AAS Degree): Hands-on preparation for rehabilitative care careers.
Wellness & Beauty Programs: Including Esthetics, Master Esthetics, Wax Technician, and Massage Therapy.
